Patient Care Technician (PCT) – Acute Rehab Unit – West Hospital

A Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides basic health care and support to patients under the guidance of the Registered Nurse or designated healthcare professional. Responsibilities include sanitizing and cleaning patient rooms, monitoring vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living (feeding, grooming), aiding mobility, and acting as liaison between patient and nurse. Must document care accurately and timely, participate in hand-offs, and contribute to patient safety and comfort. Education: None. Licensure/Certification: BLS preferred upon hire and must obtain prior to direct patient care. Multiple pathways to fulfill CNA/STNA requirements or equivalent nursing program experience.
