Job Summary
Deliver patient care support in assigned departments under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Maintain active licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic, or military equivalent, or complete Florida CNA certification within 120 days of graduation. Hold a High School Diploma or GED and possess Basic Life Support/CPR certification. Complete mandatory background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
Required Qualifications
- Florida licensure as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic, or a military Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic Specialist, or Aerospace Medical Service Specialist
- National licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification
- Provide certification of successful completion of a Florida State Board approved program
- Successfully obtain a Florida CNA license within 120 days of graduation
- Currently be enrolled in or a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (RN/LPN)
- Have completed the first semester of clinical for ASN/BSN degree or completion of first trimester for LPN
- Cannot be currently licensed in the U.S. as a RN or LPN
- High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
- Basic Life Support/CPR
