Job Summary
Provide alcohol and drug testing, including breath alcohol, urine, saliva, and hair collection. Assist clinical and clerical staff to facilitate patient flow and manage medical records. Support nursing and medical personnel during patient admission, treatment, and discharge. Troubleshoot technical equipment issues and train clinic staff on specimen collection procedures. Administer AED, audiograms, spirometry, and ECGs while maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive patient and staff information. Work independently with flexibility in prioritizing assignments while upholding CARES values of Commitment, Action, Respect, Excellence, and Service.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- BLS certification
- Must possess excellent patient/public relations and communication skills
- Proficient in data entry
Desired Qualifications
- Certification for breath alcohol testing, drug testing (urine, saliva, hair testing)
- Competency for phlebotomy
- Minimum of two years experience in outpatient clinic, physician office or emergency department
