Patient Care Technician

Assist in preparing patient rooms for admissions, transfers, and post-operative patients while using proper body mechanics for positioning and ambulation. Perform daily personal and oral hygiene, catheter care, and vital sign monitoring, then report changes in patient condition to the LPN/RN. Accurately obtain and label specimens, distribute water, track intake and output, and make patient rounds every two hours. Reposition patients for comfort, assist with bathing and voiding, and prepare patients for surgery or procedures. Provide post-mortem care and simple dress changes as directed by the licensed nurse.
