Job Summary
Assist with patients' activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting, and mobility under the direction of a Registered Nurse or LPN. Perform technical duties such as vital signs, point of care testing, bladder scanning, foley catheter care, phlebotomy, and EKGs if certified. Communicate changes in patient status to the healthcare team, reinforce education on care needs and safety, and participate in patient satisfaction and performance improvement activities. Maintain high standards of professional ethics and standard precautions for isolation and safe patient practice. Requires BLS certification, PCT course completion, and strong communication skills. Night shift, 24 hours weekly, part-time.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Grade Equivalent Diploma (GED)
- Must have successfully completed a PCT course, a fundamentals nursing course in an RN program, Certified Nursing Assistant program, or have worked an equivalent of 1 year of direct patient care
- BLS certification
- Phlebotomy training/education
- Must have strong communication skills
- Demonstrates required knowledge of basic patient care skills, procedures and standards
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs

- Phlebotomy training/education is required for the Emergency Department positions
