Job Summary
Provides patient-related care tasks under the direct supervision of a licensed caregiver in an acute-care unit. Assists with activities of daily living, vital signs, intake/output, ambulation, and implementation of portions of the patient care plan. Maintains accurate medical record documentation and reports changes in patient condition to the licensed caregiver. Addresses questions or concerns from patients, families, and health-care team members; demonstrates strong communication and clinical documentation; supports growth and development across the life span in the assigned unit.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 6 months of experience in the healthcare setting within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license preferred
- Education as Block 1 in Nursing OR Medical Assistant OR Nursing Assistant OR EMT OR Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) OR equivalent healthcare experience
