Patient Care Technician Medical Telemetry, Evenings

Patient Care Technician (Medical Telemetry) provides direct patient care under RN/LPN supervision on an evening full-time shift with rotating weekends. Responsibilities include patient and visitor interactions, hourly rounding, safe handling and ambulation, assistance with activities of daily living, room set-up and discharge/transfer support, transport within the facility, accurate documentation, specimen collection and routine point-of-care testing, ECGs, wound care and dressing changes under nursing direction, and maintaining patient safety and comfort. The role supports the nursing team with indirect tasks such as restocking equipment, linen, and supplies. Requires CNA training completion and current BLS certification, with eligibility to obtain any required certifications within 90 days of hire. Demonstrates interpersonal skills, teamwork, and commitment to patient and family welfare, and adheres to hospital safety policies.
