Job Summary
Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic and advanced patient care activities, and maintains a safe, clean environment under licensed nursing staff supervision. Collects and documents patient information including vital signs and intake/output, prepares rooms for admissions and discharges, and responds promptly to call lights. Performs morning and evening care such as bed baths, oral hygiene, and dressing patients, while correctly identifying patients and ensuring privacy. Collects and transports specimens, prepares patients for meals, and provides preventative safety measures. Demonstrates competencies in IV discontinuation, phlebotomy, EKGs, wound care, and ostomy changes. Requires six months of CNA experience, Georgia Nursing Assistant certification, and BLS certification. Weekend and holiday shifts available; pay rate is experienced-based with applicable differentials.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a minimum of six-months successful experience as a certified nursing assistant (CNA)
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state of Georgia
- American Heart Association BLS Certification
- Validated and successful completion of SGHS's Patient Care Technician competencies
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for holiday shifts
- Must be able to work up to four (4) weeks in advance schedule
