Patient Care Technician - Med Surg 7A, Part-Time Days, Voorhees

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or LPN, assists with patients’ activities of daily living and plan of care. Communicates with and supports the healthcare team, patients and their families. Maintains high standards of professional ethics while contributing to patient satisfaction and care quality. Responsibilities include performing activities of daily living support (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting/hygiene, mobility), adhering to standard precautions and infection-control practices, performing technical duties such as vital signs, point-of-care testing, bladder scanning, Foley catheter care, and potentially phlebotomy and EKGs; documenting changes and communicating with the care team; participating in performance improvement and orientation of new hires. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a PCT or CNA program or equivalent direct patient care experience, and BLS certification; phlebotomy training is required for emergency department roles.
