Job Summary
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is responsible for assisting in patient care and documentation in various hospital units, working under the supervision of nursing staff, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting discharge logistics.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program
- Current, unrestricted CNA or LNA license in the State of Arizona
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Fingerprint Clearance Card application number or Fingerprint Clearance Card within 90 days from date of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrates ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary team and community agencies with patient care and care management
- Demonstrates ability to utilize the EMR for documentation and communication purposes
- Possesses and demonstrates knowledge of available community resources
- Demonstrates an understanding of post-discharge resource planning
