Patient Care Technician

The Patient Care Technician provides designated direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of licensed clinical team members, supporting interprofessional collaboration and telehealth encounters when applicable. Responsibilities include communicating with the care team and patients/families, conducting patient rounds, maintaining a safe patient care environment, assisting with supplies and equipment, and responding to patient call lights promptly. The role may involve facilitating virtual clinical exams with peripheral devices and technology (e.g., electronic stethoscope, Epic, Vidyo) to support comprehensive virtual care. Requires High School Diploma/GED, knowledge of medical terminology, effective communication, respect for diverse backgrounds, and Basic Life Support (BLS/AHA). May serve as a virtual safety associate as needed. Shift noted as Night Shift at Lehigh Valley Hospital-CARBON, with on-site duties at the Lehighton, PA location.
