Job Summary
Patient Care Technician (PCT) at Lexington Dialysis Center provides dialysis treatment under RN guidance. Responsibilities include setting up the hemodialysis machine, preparing vascular access, initiating/monitoring/discontinuing dialysis, recording vital signs, documenting fluid removal, monitoring for adverse reactions, infection control (PPE, hand hygiene), assisting with activities of daily living, responding to emergencies, and supporting patient safety. Requires minimum 6 months of healthcare/direct patient care experience. Certifications like CHT/CCHT, CNA, CMA, EMT, CST, CPT, CMA, or similar are considered. HS diploma required. Must pass CCHT exam within 18 months and have or obtain BLS certification. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship not available. Full-time position based in Lexington, NC with potential for varied hours; sign-on bonus of $2,000. Provides comprehensive benefits and training. Exposed to blood and needles; involves lifting and standing for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 6 Months of healthcare and/or direct patient care experience
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must pass the Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) exam within 18 months
- Must have or obtain Basic Life Support certification
- Comfortable around blood and needles; cannulation experience preferred
- Excellent bedside manner and communication skills
