Job Summary
Patient Care Technician at Statesville Dialysis Center (Statesville, NC). Full-time role under RN supervision providing dialysis treatments to multiple patients; responsibilities include setting up the hemodialysis machine, greeting patients, preparing vascular access, initiating/monitoring/discontinuing dialysis per policies, obtaining and documenting vital signs, calculating and documenting fluid removal, monitoring for adverse reactions, reporting machine malfunctions, maintaining infection control and PPE, ensuring patient safety, and assisting with activities of daily living. Requires at least 6 months of healthcare/direct patient care experience and a High School Diploma. Certifications: must aim to obtain Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) within 18 months and hold Basic Life Support certification. Must be comfortable around blood/needles and pass Ishihara Color Blindness test. Eligible to work in the U.S. with no visa sponsorship. Sign-on bonus of $2,000 and a comprehensive benefits package available. Training may occur in multiple clinics with possible inter-facility coverage; hours may vary during training and typically 36-40 hours per week during training.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 6 Months of healthcare and/or direct patient care experience
- Must pass Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) exam within 18 months
- Basic Life Support certification (AHA approved)
- Authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. (no sponsorship)
- Comfort around blood and needles including cannulation
- Excellent bedside manner and communication skills
- Ishihara Color Blindness test results acceptable
