Job Summary
Patient Care Technicians deliver competent and skilled care to patients and families as supervised and delegated by the RN/LVN. They work in a team-oriented environment and focus on good customer relations. After receiving appropriate training on medication security, they assist in ordering, stocking, and maintaining supplies in the medication rooms. Shift is Third Shift (6:30 pm–7:00 am) at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, TX. Education & Experience requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent and completion of a certified NA, Medical Assistant course or similar program with coursework in patient assessment/vital signs and growth and development (1 clinical semester in an accredited nursing program). Certification/Licensure: Current BLS. Cook Children's is an equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of certified NA, Medical Assistant course or other comparable health care provider program with course work in patient assessment/vital signs and growth and development, i.e. 1 clinical semester in accredited nursing program
