PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN - INTENSIVE CARE UNIT- FULL TIME- Evening/ Nights

Job Summary
Responsible for direct and indirect care of patients in the Intensive Care Unit. Duties include assisting nursing staff with daily routines, performing clerical tasks, conducting patient rounds, obtaining vital signs, and ensuring patient safety. The role requires effective use of Meditech electronic health record and strong communication skills. Knowledge of medical terminology and current BLS Healthcare Provider certification is necessary. Physical demands include lifting and multitasking in a patient care environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent within one year from date of hire
- Qualifications to work with infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
Desired Qualifications
- EMT, Certified Nursing or Medical Assistant preferred
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Experience in data entry or typing preferred
- Previous clerical experience preferred
- Legible handwriting
- Fluent knowledge of medical terminology
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider card
