Job Summary

Measure and document vital signs, identify patient concerns, and report them to colleagues. Move, position, prep, and assist the APP interprocedurally while collaborating on best practices. Maintain current Basic Life Support certification and work under direct supervision of an APP and VIR Nurse Supervisor. Perform multi-skilled activities to support a patient-centered approach and achieve desired outcomes. Work 40 weekly hours in 4-10 hour shifts Monday through Friday.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • One year of patient care work experience in a health care facility
  • Certified Nursing Assistant certification
  • EMT certification
  • Paramedic certification
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Enrollment in a healthcare related program
  • Successful completion of a Nursing Assistant course
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant course
  • Successful completion of a Nursing Fundamentals course
  • Basic Life Support certification within 2 weeks of hire
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
  • Current American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider certification
