Job Summary
Provide direct patient care and activities of daily living, including vital signs, ambulation, specimen collection, and meal consumption. Document all treatments, weights, and intake/output accurately in the electronic medical record. Report changes in patient conditions to nursing staff and participate in quality initiatives like hourly rounding and falls prevention. Perform unit activities such as supply stocking, equipment cleaning, and patient transport. Work night shifts under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to attend 2 weeks of training
- Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to perform basic mathematics
- Basic computer skills
- CPR – American Heart Association Act 34
- Criminal Background Clearance Certificate Act 33
- Child Abuse Clearance Certificate Act 73
- FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Desired Qualifications
- Acute care experience with in the last 3 years
- Currently enrolled in ASN or BSN program
- Preference given to those enrolled in Associates or Bachelor's degree Nursing programs
- Completed at least one clinical rotation
