Job Summary
PCT I on the Night shift at Vassar Brothers Medical Center (Cardiac Thoracic Step Down) performs patient care tasks under RN direction, assists with admissions/transfers/discharges, records vitals and lab values, supports basic procedures (oral suctioning, dressings, tube feeding setup, catheter care, post-mortem care), communicates with the health care team, documents and reports changes, maintains infection control practices, participates in shift reports and rounds, and demonstrates REACH Values while providing personalized patient and family care.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- AHA BLS healthcare provider certification within 90 days from DOH
- Minimum of three (3) months experience as a PCT or currently in a junior semester of an Associates or Bachelor’s nursing program
- BLS certification 90 days from date of hire
