Job Summary
Provide direct patient care and activities of daily living, including vital signs, specimen collection, phlebotomy, intake and output, and 12-lead EKG testing. Assist the Registered Nurse with acutely ill patients, perform clean and dry dressing changes, manage IV access, and transport patients to procedures. Coordinate unit activities by managing admissions, discharges, and transfers while maintaining a clean environment through supply stocking and equipment cleaning. Accurately document all treatments and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff. Work 12-hour shifts under the supervision of a Registered Nurse with specific assignments from the Charge Nurse.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to perform basic mathematics
- Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions
- Basic computer skills
- CPR – American Heart Association
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Must be able to attend 2 weeks of training
