Job Summary
Provide direct patient care and activities of daily living, including vital signs, ambulation, specimen collection, and meal consumption. Document all treatments, restraints, and physical condition changes in the electronic medical record. Participate in quality initiatives through bedside shift reports, hourly rounding, and maintaining a clean environment. Perform unit activities such as supply stocking, equipment cleaning, and patient transport. Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse with specific assignments from the Charge Nurse. Complete two weeks of training and maintain CPR and criminal background clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to attend 2 weeks of training
- Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to perform basic mathematics
- Basic computer skills
- CPR – American Heart Association
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Desired Qualifications
- Acute care experience with in the last 3 years
- Currently enrolled in ASN or BSN program
- Preference given to those enrolled in Associates or Bachelor's degree Nursing programs
- Completed at least one clinical rotation
