Job Summary
Provide direct patient care and activities of daily living, including skin surveys, vital signs, specimen collection, and ambulation protocols. Document all treatments, intake and output, and changes in patient conditions in the electronic medical record. Participate in quality initiatives through hourly rounding, falls prevention, and maintaining a clean unit environment. Perform unit coordination tasks such as patient admissions, discharges, transfers, and equipment cleaning. Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse with specific assignments from the Charge Nurse. Complete required training and background clearances.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to attend 2 weeks of training
- Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to perform basic mathematics
- Basic computer skills
- CPR – American Heart Association
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- HIPAA compliance
- Code of Business Conduct adherence
- Adherence to applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations
- Company policies and training requirements compliance
Desired Qualifications
- Acute care experience with in the last 3 years
- Currently enrolled in ASN or BSN program
- Enrolled in Associates or Bachelor's degree Nursing programs
- Completed at least one clinical rotation
