Job Summary
Perform direct patient care and activities of daily living for stable patients, including vital signs, ambulation, specimen collection, and meal consumption. Document all treatments and report changes in patient conditions to nursing staff. Participate in quality initiatives like hourly rounding, falls prevention, and maintaining a clean unit environment. Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers while adhering to all hospital policies and emergency procedures. Works under RN supervision with specific assignments from the Charge Nurse. Requires CPR certification and background clearances.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to attend 2 weeks of training
- Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to perform basic mathematics
- Basic computer skills
- CPR – American Heart Association
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Desired Qualifications
- Acute care experience with in the last 3 years
- Currently enrolled in ASN or BSN program
- Preference given to those enrolled in Associates or Bachelor's degree Nursing programs
- Completed at least one clinical rotation
