Job Summary
Provides clerical and nursing assistant support under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. Assists patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, transfers, ambulation, and orientation to the facility. Performs routine duties such as taking and recording vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration, weight), documenting information, restocking supplies, transporting patients, and performing clerical duties related to admissions, discharges, and transfers. Supports families emotionally and educationally, contributes to the patient plan of care, and follows infection control procedures. Requires CNA certification or ability to complete CNA coursework within 60 days of hire; shifts are rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays; part-time, benefit-eligible. Location: Freeman, SD.
Required Qualifications
- CNA certification or ability to obtain CNA within 60 days of hire
- Ability to work the hours specified (Day, Evening, Night, Rotating Weekends/Holidays)
- Clerical and nursing assistant support under RN supervision
- Comfort with performing activities of daily living assistance (bathing, dressing, feeding, transfers, ambulation) and vital signs
- Documenting patient information accurately
- Maintaining clean and safe patient environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff
