Job Summary

Set up hemodialysis machines, greet patients, and collect treatment details while reporting concerns to lead nurses. Assist with vascular access preparation, initiate and monitor dialysis treatments per policy, and obtain vital signs before, during, and after procedures. Document fluid removal, perform access cannulation, and monitor for adverse reactions or machine malfunctions. Maintain infection control standards, ensure patient safety and comfort, and respond to emergency situations. This full-time role involves heavy lifting, extended standing, and exposure to blood and bodily fluids. Candidates must have six months of healthcare experience, pass the CCHT exam within 18 months, and be available for rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • 6 Months of healthcare and/or direct patient care experience
  • Successful completion of the Health Systems Management training program
  • Ability to work long hours
  • Flexible schedule to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must pass the Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) exam within 18 months following the first day of employment
  • Basic Life Support certification approved by the American Heart Association
  • Comfort working around blood and needles, including cannulation, and obtaining labs
  • Pass the Ishihara's Color Blind Test
  • Authorization to work for ANY employer in the U.S.
  • Acknowledgment of the inter-facility coverage policy that supports floating to various clinics during and after training
  • Must be comfortable working around blood and needles, including cannulation, and obtaining labs
  • Must be able to lift chemical and water solutions of up to 30 pounds and high as five feet
  • Must be able to walk, bend, stretch, and stand for considerable time
  • Must be able to move machines, equipment, and assist with ambulation
