Job Summary
Patient Care Technician provides patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision, assisting with activities of daily living, collecting vital signs and data (vital signs, intake/output, weight, oxygen saturation, calories), supporting meals and hygiene, assisting with mobility and positioning, collecting urine/stool samples, performing finger-stick glucose monitoring, and ensuring a clean, safe environment with proper PPE and infection control. Responsible for effective communication within the care team, participation in performance improvement initiatives and risk management, and may provide continuous observation as required; performs other duties and maintains attendance per policies.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred
- BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire required
- CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant preferred or CPCT preferred
