Job Summary
Conduct tasks supportive to patient care delivery in assigned surgical departments under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Maintain active licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic, or equivalent military medical specialist, or obtain Florida CNA certification within 120 days of graduation. Complete mandatory background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. Hold a High School Diploma or GED and possess Basic Life Support/CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- Florida licensure as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic, or a military Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic Specialist, or Aerospace Medical Service Specialist
- National licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification
- Successful completion of a Florida State Board approved program
- Obtain a Florida CNA license within 120 days of graduation
- Currently be enrolled in or a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (RN/LPN)
- Have completed the first semester of clinical for ASN/BSN degree or completion of first trimester for LPN
- Not be currently licensed in the U.S. as a RN or LPN
- High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
- Basic Life Support/CPR
