Job Summary
Deliver patient care support in assigned Neuro or Med Surg departments under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Maintain active licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic, or military equivalent, or complete a Florida State Board-approved CNA program within 120 days of graduation. Possess Basic Life Support/CPR certification and working knowledge of commonly used computer applications. Undergo background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse as part of the commitment to keeping people safe.
Required Qualifications
- Florida licensure as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic, or a military Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic Specialist, or Aerospace Medical Service Specialist
- National licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- currently be enrolled in or a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (RN/LPN)
- have completed the first semester of clinical for ASN/BSN degree or completion of first trimester for LPN
- cannot be currently licensed in the U.S. as a RN or LPN
- Provide certification of successful completion of a Florida State Board approved program
- successfully obtain a Florida CNA license within 120 days of graduation
- HS EQ: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
- BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
