Job Summary
This role involves assisting nursing staff with daily activities, including patient transport, hygiene, and meal distribution. Responsibilities also include clerical duties such as managing patient records, updating bed statuses, and answering calls. Candidates must perform patient assessments including vital signs and maintain a safe environment through effective communication and inventory management. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and preferred qualifications such as EMT certification or medical assistant experience, alongside strong interpersonal skills and a current BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent within one year from date of hire
Desired Qualifications
- EMT, Certified Nursing or Medical Assistant preferred
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Experience in data entry or typing preferred
- Previous clerical experience preferred
- Legible handwriting
- Fluent knowledge of medical terminology
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider card
