Patient Care Technician - Evenings - Observation Unit (No CNA Cert Required)

The role involves providing high-quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in an Evening shift on an Observation Unit. Key duties include assisting with activities of daily living, clerical support, specimen handling and transport, patient safety, and collaboration with the care team to ensure smooth patient throughput. Must demonstrate reliability, punctuality, attendance, teamwork, and effective communication. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience; BLS certification within 6 months is required. The role supports clinical care tasks such as dressing changes, venipuncture, specimen processing, and coordination of patient through admissions, transfers, discharges, and tests. Location is Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Wilkes-Barre, PA; 36 hours per week, evenings, full-time status, with shift differentials possible.
