Patient Care Technician - Evenings/Nights - Advanced Acute Care Teaching Telemetry Unit - No CNA Required

Patient Care Technician in the Geisinger GWV unit provides direct patient care and performs clerical duties across the care team. Responsibilities include delivering patient care within the nursing assistant scope, observing and documenting patient needs, reporting changes to licensed personnel, obtaining and transporting specimens, performing point-of-care testing, assisting with activities of daily living, maintaining patient safety, coordinating transportation for tests, and supporting admissions/transfers/discharges. Serves as a preceptor for new staff and supports routine unit operations, including scheduling, communication with food services for patient diets, and maintaining equipment and supplies. Requires High School Diploma or GED; ACLS and BLS certifications are required. Shift is full time with evenings and nights; benefits and tuition support are provided.
