Job Summary
Patient Care Technician (PCT) needed for day shift, full-time. Under RN/LPN supervision, the PCT delivers high-quality, patient-centered care by assisting with activities of daily living, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and communicating effectively with the care team. Responsibilities include collecting and recording patient data (vital signs, height, weight, oxygen saturation, intake/output, calories), aiding with meals, bathing, grooming, linen changes, urine/stool collection and glucose monitoring, assisting with positioning and mobilization using walkers/crutches/canes/wheelchairs, maintaining infection-control practices and PPE, and supporting performance improvement and safety initiatives. May require continuous observation. Qualifications emphasize basic patient care knowledge, strong organizational and communication skills, ability to follow detailed instructions, and commitment to patient confidentiality. CNA or CPCT licensure preferred; BCLS required within 90 days of hire. Location: Laredo, TX, USA; in-person role. Educational hint: High School Graduate preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred
- BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire required
- CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant preferred or
- Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT) preferred
