Job Summary
Patient Care Technician provides direct, hands-on dialysis care under RN supervision to patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient dialysis clinic. Responsibilities include monitoring patients before, during, and after treatment; setting up and maintaining dialysis equipment; recording vital signs and patient data; delivering hygienic, compassionate care; and educating patients on treatment and kidney health. Collaborative care with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other team members is essential. Requirements include an Accredited HS diploma/GED or equivalent, comfort with blood and needles, physical ability for long shifts, and willingness to float between local clinics. Preferred certifications/experience include CNA, MA, CHT, or phlebotomy; ongoing training and career development opportunities are offered.
