Job Summary
Prioritize and deliver basic patient care, including toileting, bathing, linen changes, ambulating, and comfort measures while collaborating with the RN and interdisciplinary team. Report patient condition changes, transport medications to the RN, and perform telemetry duties as required. Manage unit records, answer phones, and maintain supplies if functioning as a Health Unit Coordinator. This role requires current CNA certification, BLS, and a recent Fundamentals of Nursing course. Shifts include day and night options with 36 weekly hours at $18.40–$23.92 hourly. Located at Intermountain Health St George Regional Hospital in St George, Utah.
Required Qualifications
- Current Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Certified Nursing Assistant Certification in the state of Utah
- Completion of a recent Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program
- Verification of CNA program completion
- Completion of a Fundamentals of Nursing Course
- Earned a passing grade within the past two (2) years on the Fundamentals of Nursing Course transcript
- CNA certification obtained within 120 days of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Prior CNA experience or applicable healthcare experience
- Current enrollment in nursing school program
