Job Summary
Provide direct resident care by assisting patients with bathing, dressing, shaving, oral hygiene, bed making, transfers, repositioning, toileting, feeding, and ambulation. Perform routine and non-routine duties including answering call lights, transporting patients, collecting specimens, and assisting with restorative exercises. Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration, and weight while documenting factual information on forms and entering data into the computer. Immediately report changes in patient conditions, pain management, or other concerns to nursing staff. Maintain a clean, safe environment through cleaning procedures, restocking supplies, and adhering to infection control and disaster plan protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) - Licensing Board
- Active license in the state of practice within 180 Days
- High School or GED Equivalent
- Less than 1 year Related experience or training
- Minimum Age Requirements 18
- Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
- Ability to work the hours specified
- Ability to perform each essential job function satisfactorily
