Job Summary
Assist in individualized patient care under the direction of the RN or LPN, performing designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks essential to patient care in the Cardiac Evaluation Unit. The role requires completion of a 175-hour state-practice training program within 90 days of hire, and BLS certification within one month of hire with CPCT competencies within 3 months. The position involves lifting up to 50 pounds, prolonged standing/walking, and potential EMT/CPCT/CNA experience is preferred. This PRN role supports a collaborative healthcare team and contributes to Mercy’s patient-care goals through hands-on clinical duties and compassionate service.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, CNA/CPCT or enrolled in a healthcare career program
- BLS certification within one month of hire
- CPCT competencies within 3 months of hire
- Physical ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Preferred EMT, Paramedic, or previous patient care experience
