Process physician orders and maintain chart order in Meditech while assisting the registered nurse with patient care, supplies, and unit cleanliness. Perform hourly rounding, coordinate patient flow with the charge nurse, and enter daily outpatient charges. Answer telephones, assist with patient/family teaching, and document all activities within the scope of practice. Comply with safety and infection control standards while maintaining open communication with professional staff and clarifying unclear information. Establish a therapeutic relationship with patients and families based on empathy and trust to promote a positive patient experience.
