Job Summary
Support nursing staff with daily patient care by assisting with activities of daily living, obtaining and documenting vital signs, performing blood glucose testing, and providing basic personal care. Safely transport patients to designated areas and assist with mobility transfers while maintaining a clean, organized patient care environment. Communicate patient needs to the clinical team and follow all facility policies and safety standards. Work alongside a team of approximately 20 healthcare professionals in a clinical setting requiring frequent patient interaction and mobility assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Previous healthcare or patient care experience preferred
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative healthcare team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach
- Ability to follow instructions and established patient care procedures
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to safely assist with patient mobility and transportation
Desired Qualifications
- Dressing and assisting patients with personal care
- Removing IVs under appropriate clinical direction
- Taking and documenting vital signs
