Patient Care Technician Adult Medical Stroke Unit PT Night - Ball Memorial

Provide bedside care as a Patient Care Technician on an Adult Medical Stroke Unit by assisting with vital signs, meal ordering, walking, baths, and linen management; support the bedside RN by reporting abnormalities, and help ensure patient safety with gait belts and alarms. Demonstrates compassionate, patient-centered care and effective communication; maintains infection control and aseptic techniques, performs basic math, and prioritizes tasks in a high-workload environment. Requires BLS or completion of IU Health PCA program, knowledge appropriate to patient age/development, and ability to operate procedures/equipment related to patient care. Emphasizes teamwork, safety, and ability to handle interruptions and stress in a fast-paced hospital setting.
