Job Summary
Assist professional staff under RN supervision with direct and indirect patient care, including aiding with bathing, toileting, dressing, feeding, and perineal care. Perform technical tasks such as recording vital signs, conducting EKGs, and glucose monitoring, while ensuring patient safety through fall prevention, hazard reporting, and equipment checks. Provide skin care by turning and positioning patients and inspecting skin integrity. Manage elimination needs, catheter care, and meal intake/output documentation. Coordinate patient movement, answer phones, maintain records, and interact tactfully with patients and families. Adhere to dress codes, accept feedback, and support organizational policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Mobility
- Communication in English
- Ability to push/pull/lift/move 35 lb
- Ability to perform manual tasks
- Ability to perform data entry
Desired Qualifications
- Healthcare terminology or coursework
- BLS certification
- Prior healthcare experience
