Job Summary
Provide direct patient care and activities of daily living, including vital signs, ambulation, specimen collection, and meal consumption. Perform skin surveys, blood glucose testing, and early mobilation protocols while documenting all treatments in the electronic medical record. Participate in quality initiatives through hourly rounding, falls prevention, and maintaining a clean environment. Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers under RN supervision. Complete unit activities such as supply stocking and equipment cleaning. Requires CPR certification, criminal background clearance, and ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to attend 2 weeks of training
- Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to perform basic mathematics
- Basic computer skills
- CPR – American Heart Association Act 34
- Criminal Background Clearance Certificate Act 33
- Child Abuse Clearance Certificate Act 73
- FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Desired Qualifications
- Acute care experience with in the last 3 years
- Currently enrolled in ASN or BSN program
- Preference given to those enrolled in Associates or Bachelor's degree Nursing programs
- Completed at least one clinical rotation
