Job Summary
As a Patient Care Technician at Sentara Health, you will support admission/discharge processes, provide direct patient care including blood draws, and collaborate within a team under nurse supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of Sentara Care Partner Certification Program
- Successful completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
- National Patient Care Technician (NCPCT)
- Completion of US Navy Hospital Corps School
- Emergency Services training including EMR, EMS, EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic certifications
- Current student enrolled in a clinical program having completed at least one semester of RN, LPN, RT, or PT
- Current work experience within last three years as a PCT or Nursing Assistant
