Patient Care Technician | 24 hours per week | Medical Surgical Unit

Patient Care Technician providing basic patient care under a licensed nurse across Adult, Medical/Surgical, Geriatric, Telemetry, Cardiac, Neonate, Infant, Toddler, School Age, Adolescent, and Psychiatric units. Works 24 hours per week with shift hours 6:30am–7:00pm, every other weekend. Responsibilities include bedside shift reports, fall and infection control practices, wound prevention, safety monitoring, accurate documentation in the medical record, ADLs assistance, specimen collection, vitals and glucose monitoring, equipment setup (oxygen, x-ray, irrigation bottles), patient transport, turning/repositioning to prevent pressure injuries, using safety devices, admissions/discharges/transfers coordination, and basic clerical tasks. Requires CNA certification (or within four months of hire), and relevant emergency response and mandatory reporting training. Demonstrates clinical proficiency, computer/navigation skills, math for intake/output, and adherence to unit procedures.
