Job Summary
Support patient care through diagnostic procedures, technical nursing treatments, charting, and patient instruction while coordinating telemetry transmitters and applying electrocardiography leads. Manage chart reviews, pre-visit planning, patient intake, and scheduling of appointments, referrals, procedures, and lab tests. Collect and document vital signs, height, and weight in the electronic health record, order supplies, and perform designated basic treatments and procedures following training and demonstrated competence. Maintain patient safety, promote satisfaction, and exercise sound judgment in a busy environment. Requires regular attendance, potential weekend and after-hours shifts, and on-call availability.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- American Heart Association BLS
- Nurse Aide certification
- Emergency Medical Technician certification
- Prior work experience in health care
- Prior education in or work experience with medical terminology

- Tele-Tech responsibilities experience (coordinating availability of telemetry transmitters, lead cables and other monitoring supplies, applying electrocardiography leads)
- Ambulatory Patient Care Tech experience (performance of chart review, pre-visit planning, patient intake, production and management of schedule tracking and referral reports, scheduling of patient appointments, referrals, procedures, and lab tests, coordination of the prescription assistance program, and patient pre and prior-authorization)
- Patient Care Tech competency assessment/skills checklist requirements experience
- Safety Companion/TeleCompanion competency and training experience
