Job Summary
Patient Care Technician (PCT)/Unit Secretary on a part-time 2nd shift in telemetry units. Provides direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision, assists with cardiac monitoring, maintenance of cardiac equipment, and administrative support to maintain unit operations. Responsibilities include assisting with personal hygiene, bowel/bladder management, intake/output recording, specimen transport, patient activity and repositioning, and communicating pertinent findings to the nurse. Requires Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification or nursing program clinical rotation validation, and Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire. The role is part-time with benefits including health/dental/vision, tuition reimbursement, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification required or completion of first year of Nursing program with clinical rotation validation
- Basic Life Support (within 30 days of hire)
