Patient Care Tech- Surgical Unit (FT- 0.9 FTE, Day Shift)

Job Summary
Support patient care on the surgical unit by assisting with diagnostic procedures, technical nursing treatments, patient charting, and patient instruction. Coordinate Tele-Companion and Tele-Tech programs, including patient safety monitoring for at-risk individuals and managing telemetry equipment. Perform basic nursing care with dignity, collect vital signs, and document patient information in the electronic health record. Order supplies, manage patient intake, and coordinate pre-authorization and referral reports as needed. Complete required competency assessments and training within three months of hire. Work in a busy environment requiring sound judgment, adaptability to evidence-based practice, and adherence to Bozeman Health delegation policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- American Heart Association BLS
- Nurse Aide certification
- Emergency Medical Technician certification
- Prior work experience in health care
- Prior education in or work experience with medical terminology
