Job Summary
Assist with patient care under the direction of professional staff to support patients, the nursing unit, and clinical teams. Provide direct patient support and coordinate care activities as needed. Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and hold a high school diploma or equivalent. Work a 7a-7p dayshift on a 12X3 day schedule, rotating weekends three times weekly. This role is within Methodist Dallas Medical Center, a Magnet®-designated hospital and the only adult Level I Trauma Center in southern Dallas.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1 year experience as a nursing assistant in a comparable healthcare facility
- Graduate from a certified nursing assistant program
- Certified Medical Assistant program
- Nursing student who documents completion of the first semester of a Nursing Program
- Documented military experience as a medic/corpsman
- Foreign Nursing graduate not currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the U.S
- EMT Certification/Paramedic License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
