Job Summary

Conduct complex personal patient care duties, including supporting diagnostic procedures, assisting with technical nursing treatments, and performing basic nursing care with dignity. Collect and document vital signs, height, and weight in the electronic health record while maintaining Standard Precautions for all patients. Coordinate availability of telemetry transmitters and apply electrocardiography leads for Tele-Tech responsibilities, or manage chart reviews, pre-visit planning, and appointment scheduling for Ambulatory Patient Care Tech duties. Complete required competency assessments and training within three months of hire to perform designated treatments and procedures. Maintain patient safety and satisfaction in a busy, stressful environment while adhering to Bozeman Health delegation policies and evidence-based practice.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • Prior work experience in health care
  • Prior education in or work experience with medical terminology
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to sit occasionally
  • Must be able to stand repeatedly
  • Must be able to walk repeatedly
  • Must be able to climb rarely
  • Must be able to twist/bend/stoop/kneel repeatedly
  • Must be able to reach above shoulder level repeatedly
  • Must be able to push/pull repeatedly
  • Must be able to perform fine-finger movements continuously
  • Must have close visual acuity continuously
  • Must have cognitive skills continuously
  • Must be able to handle exposures continuously
  • Must be able to handle radiation continuously
  • Must be able to handle various chemicals and medications continuously
  • Must be able to handle infectious diseases continuously
  • Must be able to handle emotionally challenging situations continuously

  • Must be able to learn current and new computer applications and office equipment utilized at Bozeman Health
  • Must have strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Must be able to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
  • Must be available for regular and sustained attendance
  • Must be available for working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts
  • Must be available for on-call work

Desired Qualifications

  • Nurse Aide certification
  • Emergency Medical Technician certification
