Job Summary
Provide nursing assistance and patient care to ensure the comfort, safety, and personal needs of patients in the Progressive Care Unit. Assist with activities of daily living and perform procedures for physical hygiene and comfort. Operate as part of a unit-based, self-directed patient care team, sharing tasks with licensed and non-licensed members. Requires American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification and a Georgia Registry Certified Nursing Assistant credential, or equivalent medical assistant certification with one year of acute patient care experience. Schedule runs 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Required Qualifications
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry
- Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
- One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience
