Patient Care Tech - PRN

Per diem Patient Care Tech in-center hemodialysis under RN supervision. Responsibilities include entering prescribed treatment into dialysis machines, setting up and dismantling equipment, performing chemical disinfection, monitoring alarms and ensuring patient safety, recording vitals pre- and post-dialysis, evaluating vascular access cannulation or catheter care per state law, obtaining homeostasis and dressings, following policies/procedures, collecting data and samples as needed, reviewing labs, and communicating emergencies to the RN. Emphasizes patient education, infection prevention, inventory management, and collaboration with the healthcare team; requires multitasking in a fast-paced dialysis setting and willingness to travel between assigned patients’ homes. Must meet education/certification requirements and possess strong communication and data-entry skills.
