Job Summary
Provide culturally sensitive, developmentally appropriate patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Assist patients with basic needs including feeding, positioning, hygiene, and oral care while operating medical equipment safely. Alert medical staff to patient condition changes and collect specimens for laboratory analysis. Obtain EKG readings and perform one-on-one safety monitoring for behavioral health patients. Comply with safety and infection control initiatives, maintain medical terminology knowledge, and attend required professional development programs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma in General Studies or a GED state certification
- Certification in Basic Life Saving (BLS)
- Positive interpersonal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with venipuncture
- Experience with obtaining EKGs
